Polar Communications Board of Directors recently approved a donation to the Save the Fountain effort. The Park River Woman’s Temperance Union Fountain was originally built in 1916 and is one of only a few dozen left in the world. A committee is working to raise funds to repair and restore the fountain. This important landmark will then be added to the National Register of Historic Places.
