The Polar Communications Board of Directors announced today that they have hired Tim Olson as the new CEO and General Manager. Tim is the current Chief Operating Officer at the company and has been with Polar since 1998.
“I am honored to assume the role of CEO as we continue building on the success of this great company,” said Tim Olson. “I’m excited to lead our talented team at Polar and work together to promote ongoing growth and excellence.”
In February, the board of directors began the nationwide search for a new CEO after the announcement of current CEO Karl Blake’s retirement. Blake has been with Polar Communications for 32 years and will retire on July 1, 2026.
“Tim’s background in telecommunications and respect as a leader in the industry will make for an easy transition,” said Amber Meyer, Polar Communications Board Chairman. “We look forward to working with Tim and extend our best wishes to Karl in his retirement.”
